This activity pack was created to introduce children in Prep to Year 3 to the fundamentals of colour theory in a fun, hands-on way. Through a series of interactive activities, children explore the basics of primary and secondary colours, as well as how colours mix to form new shades—encouraging curiosity and creativity through practical learning.

The idea for this pack came after a conversation with my younger cousins (aged 8 and 12) about mixing colours. I noticed they were unsure about many colour combinations, which sparked the inspiration to create a resource that would make colour theory both accessible and enjoyable for young learners.

The pack includes:
🎨 A parent/guardian handbook with step-by-step instructions
📄 Four activity worksheets
🖌️ A paint set (red, blue, yellow, black, and white)
🧑‍🎨 A brush and a reusable mixing palette

This complete kit allows children to physically mix paints to discover new colours as they work through the activities. By engaging multiple senses and offering real-time results, the experience becomes memorable and effective in reinforcing early colour theory concepts.
